Reading Light in Mysuru's Palace Corridors

Every photographer in this district eventually shoots inside a palace corridor — a wedding baraat at Jaganmohan, a portrait session near the Amba Vilas facade. The light there is unlike anywhere else: high tungsten chandeliers fighting window daylight, stone floors bouncing warm fill.

This post collects what our senior members teach in the annual heritage-shoot workshop: metering for the highlights on gilded surfaces, white-balance strategies when sources mix, and where the house rules allow tripods.
